Rapid Support Militia Burns Down Villages and Prevents Residents from Travelling Freely

The crimes of the Rapid Support Militia continue to transpire in many states, causing it’s military operations to transfer to those areas as well. In these areas the militia continues to commit what can only be deemed as the worst crimes against humanity.

A week prior, from May 11 to May 17, the RSF burned villages in the locality of Kebkabiya, North Darfur state, and Umm Ruwaba in the state of North Kordofan, resulting in the displacement of residents ranging from minors to the elderly. They then prevented the residents of Umm Ruwaba from travelling outside the city.

Furthermore, the Rapid Support Militia pillaged eight villages in Al Gezira state, attacking in five different localities. During their plundering they killed more than 40 civilians over the past week alone.

In addition they have stolen corn, wheat and lentil crops from markets within villages. They then proceed to steal money from citizens transiting through travel routes and stalking displaced families as they leave the Al Gezira.

We hold the Rapid Support Militia and its leader, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo Musa, aka "Hemedti”, responsible for all the violations that have occurred since the grand escalation by the militia of this crisis and the violations that have taken place during all stages of this war.
