Violations by the Rapid Support Forces Militia in Khartoum and Al-Jazirah States

The violations by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia continue in several states, undermining the safety and security of citizens. These violations and crimes breach all agreements regarding the protection of civilians during wars. The following are some of these violations:

May 29 - Khartoum State The RSF militia launched random shells in the Al-Thawra neighborhoods of Omdurman, resulting in the death of a citizen.

May 30 - Al-Jazirah State The RSF militia stormed the village of Haliwa in Al-Jazirah State and opened fire on the villagers, resulting in the tragic death of a child due to the militia's treacherous bullets.

May 31 - Khartoum State Intensive shelling by the RSF militia targeted some neighborhoods in Al-Thawra, Omdurman, causing severe damage to citizens' homes.

May 31 - Al-Jazirah State The RSF militia stormed the village of Al-Jumou'ya Al-Garza, killing a young man and kidnapping twelve others.

The crimes committed by this militia against citizens and their property can only be described as crimes against humanity and war crimes under Articles 7 and 8 of the International Criminal Court's Statute, respectively.

Therefore, the Sudanese Human Rights Observatory calls for the immediate legal accountability and prosecution of the perpetrators of these crimes so that justice may take its course. #Sudan #RapidSupportForcesTerrorism
