The Sudanese Observatory has been closely monitoring the aftermath of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attack and the horrendous humanitarian violations it entails. These consequences are evident in the catastrophic crises affecting the presence of citizens in their areas, leading to their displacement under extremely complex circumstances.

The RSF militia launched a clear assault on Al-Rahad City, threatening the security and stability of civilians, especially as they prepared to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. Al-Rahad City serves as an urban center benefiting thousands of citizens, yet the sanctity of these days and the civilian population were disregarded by the militia.

The Sudanese Observatory is deeply concerned about the series of attacks that occurred in the city, resulting in the loss of civilian lives and causing several severe injuries.

The Sudanese Observatory warns the Rapid Support Forces against any further attacks on safe cities and disrupting the lives of civilians therein. We call upon the Secretary-General of the United Nations to urgently address and respond to these violations.
