The Sudanese Observatory for Human Rights strongly condemns the brutal attack carried out by the Rapid Support Forces militia on February 22nd in South Kordofan State, where 60 civilians were killed and others abducted. Additionally, thousands of acres of agricultural crops were destroyed, exacerbating the food crisis in Sudan.

This heinous crime reflects a pattern of behavior that the Rapid Support Forces militia has become accustomed to. We call on the international community to condemn these actions and classify the militia as a terrorist group. The bloodshed in Sudan must stop, and we demand accountability for the perpetrators of these atrocious crimes, as well as immediate intervention to halt the violence and restore security and stability in the region.
