The Rapid Support Forces militia continues to commit the most heinous crimes against civilians in Al-Jazirah State. Recently, we have witnessed their new violations in villages, forcibly displacing their residents using military force.

The Rapid Support Forces militia besieges villages, starving their inhabitants and subjecting them to violence without any regard for women, children, or the sick, forcing them to face a difficult choice between starving to death or leaving the village.

In another example of this tragic situation, the Rapid Support Forces militia besieges Al-Fakra village, mercilessly starving its residents while simultaneously looting their belongings.

According to Observatory sources, elements of the Rapid Support Forces have threatened the village residents with demanding large sums of money within a specified deadline, or else the village will be plundered after the deadline expires. This has prompted many residents to flee south to neighboring villages on foot, risking their lives.

The Sudanese Human Rights Observatory calls on the Secretary-General of the United Nations and relevant authorities to criminalize these violations. It emphasizes the need to end these violations and hold the leaders of the Rapid Support Forces accountable for what is happening in Al-Jazirah State and throughout Sudan.
